Hello! I’m J.J. Thomas, a speculative fiction writer based in the Richmond area.

My stories involve magic, mystery, hope, and the difficult choices that people make when facing the unknown. I enjoy developing unique stories with morally gray characters that often act rationally in an irrational world.

I have completed several flash fiction and short stories, and am in the progress of drafting my first epic fantasy novel.

When I’m not writing, I enjoy reading a good book, listening to my favorite film scores, cooking a good NY Times recipe, and spending time with family and friends.
